When at home, i do most of these things daily: go on facebook, use internet, text friends, walk 10 feet to get CLEAN water, watch TV, ride electric scooters, eat three meals... and SO SO much more. But as sit here, even as i write this and am on facebook, i think about the children who are dieing right now from aids, starvation, dehydration, and so much more.
If you were in a room and a piece of tape was splitting the room in half, and on one side was you with your phone, lap top, camera, water bottle and a cheese burger and on the other side of the room was a child that was, hungry, sick, thirsty, unloved, no mom or dad, and about to die. What would you do? Wouldn't you say this is kind of like our world today?
Would you give the child your water bottle and cheese burger? Or would you keep it all to yourself? Would you keep your laptop and camera or would you consider selling it in order to feed this child who is sitting right in front of you dieing of starvation?????
Having you ever thought that that is kind of what your doing right now? I am not trying to put you down or say that you have to sell your computer because you don't, but did you ever think that for every thirty seconds you are on the computer 10 children have died. What if you could watch this happen? What if these children were right in front of you and you had to watch them die? Would you feed them? Would you give them water?
Just because someone is in another country on the other side of the world and you can't see them, that doesn't mean we can let them go days with no food or water. When we go to target to buy something that is 10 dollars, what do you end up doing? Walking out with over 200 dollars worth of stuff that you really didn't even need right?! What if you could put that extra 190 dollars that you just spent on stuff you didn't need, to feed a child that has no food for the day, has no water, can't go to school, and has aids?
YOU... me... US! We CAN change this. We CAN help prevent children dieing everything three seconds from starvation. We can help end poverty. WE CAN!! But we need to start now... no matter if it is starting out with giving 1 dollar or 100 dollars, we CAN make a difference in someones life.
What would you give to a child if you saw it dieing on the streets right in front of you?
Think About It!!!!
